NYFW 2011 - Monique Lhuillier Runway Show

"This Collection came to me in a dream...
A beautiful girl running through a lush garden. Her very own Garden of Eden.
Beautiful flowering trees in watercolor hues.
Red Apple dresses and the temptation of the snake,
Seen in a subtle reptile pattern in flowing chiffons.
Lots of shimmer from the glistening sun on dewy surfaces.
Ombres in blues and greens, pale pinks dominate.

I don't want to wake up, I'm in a state of Euphoria!!"

This charming fairytale was printed on the cover of Monique Lhuillier's show program - and the dream was, without a doubt, reflected in the collection. It was ethereal, it was feminine, it was elegant, playful and inviting. Below are some of my favorite pieces.

There you have it. One dress for each girl's alter ego as a magical fairy princess...meets Madison Avenue goddess...meets Oscar winner, all at once.

Photos of entire collection will probably be available on style.com tomorrow.

Happy shopping.
